Job summary

OutSystems is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join its Security Operations Center, focusing on building and tuning security controls across on-premise and multi-cloud environments. You will deploy SIEM/EDR, create detection rules, and drive secure deployment practices with engineering teams.

You’ll work with a global security team to evolve our threat detection and incident response, while advocating secure coding and cloud security standards across the organization.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of security engineering in cloud-based/SaaS environments.
• Strong cloud security knowledge: IAM, encryption, key management, logs.
• Hands-on scripting/automation with Python, PowerShell, Terraform, Yara.
• Experience in incident response, detection engineering, vulnerability management.
• Understanding of secure SDLC and collaboration with DevOps.
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and orchestration platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate security engineering across multi-cloud and SaaS environments.
• Implement standards and best practices for cloud security and internal tooling.
• Develop and tune detection rules and automated response playbooks.
• Partner with product, DevOps, and QA to embed security in the SDLC.
• Evaluate new security tools and maintain threat detection capabilities.
