Job summary

Landstar in Jacksonville is hiring a Senior SOC Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of security monitoring and response across the enterprise. You will craft detection content, implement automation, and drive metrics and playbooks in close collaboration with IT, security, and business units.

The role requires strong leadership, expertise in SIEM/SOAR, and the ability to work with AI/ML-guided SecOps.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 7 years of SOC engineering and security administration experience.
• 1 year of experience using copilots or assistants to query logs, threat intel and/or data sources.

Responsibilities

• Be a subject matter expert for team of engineers designing use cases for monitoring and responding 24x7x365.
• Engineer and implement solutions to enhance SOC detection and response.
• Lead design, implementation and maintenance of security infrastructure stack.
• Develop containment and remediation strategies and coordinate across teams.
• Work with teams to engineer comprehensive controls, auditing and monitoring strategy.
• Automate repetitive tasks in SOAR with ML/AI to drive efficiency.
