Job summary

Tevora in Fairfax, VA is seeking an Information Security Associate - Senior Associate to join our SOC Compliance team. You will support SOC 1 and SOC 2 assessments for a diverse client base and contribute to other frameworks such as ISO 27001, HITRUST, PCI, and C5.

The role requires solid Cyber Security fundamentals, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to translate between technical and business audiences.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of security policy frameworks and control design.
• Understanding of security architecture, networks and systems.
• At least 1 year in information security, IT, risk or compliance.
• Familiarity with firewall, server, access control, and authentication concepts.
• Ability to translate between technical and business audiences.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Strong executive-level reporting and documentation skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
• MS Office proficiency and basic professional acumen.
• One certification completed or in progress (Sec+, CCNA, ISO Lead Implementer, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Participating in SOC 1 & SOC 2 assessments and gap analyses.
• Support IT and security compliance assessments and remediation.
• Contribute to projects across SOC, ISO, PCI, HITRUST, and other frameworks.
• Develop customized policies, procedures, and controls for clients.
• Document exceptions and remediation actions with clients and teams.
• Assist in project communication with stakeholders.
