Job summary

Tevora is seeking an Information Security Associate - Senior Associate to join the SOC Compliance team in Irvine, CA (or Fairfax, VA). The role focuses on supporting SOC 1 and SOC 2 assessments across a variety of client projects for large organizations.

The candidate should apply solid cyber security fundamentals, have a professional demeanor, and be ready to learn by doing. The position involves contributing to ISO/HITRUST/PCI gaps and internal process improvements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of security policy frameworks and control design.
• Security architecture, network and systems design knowledge.
• At least 1 year of experience in information security, IT, risk, or compliance.
• Familiarity with firewall management, server management, access control, and authentication.
• Ability to communicate across business and technical boundaries.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Proficient in executive-level reports and technical documentation.
• Commitment to continued learning.

Responsibilities

• Participating in IT and compliance assessments, audits, gap analyses, and remediation.
• Contributing to SOC 1 & SOC 2 compliance assessments on client projects.
• Communicating with project leads and stakeholders to convey questions and updates.
• Supporting HITRUST, C5, PCI, ISO gap assessments and other compliance projects.
• Assisting in developing policies, procedures, controls, DR plans for applications and infrastructure.
• Identifying policy or compliance exceptions and documenting remediation actions.
• Additional duties as assigned.
