Job summary

EY is seeking a SOAR Engineering Manager to lead design, delivery, and optimization of security automation solutions across client environments. You will guide incident response, playbook development, and cross-functional collaboration with security operations, engineering, and business stakeholders.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience with enterprise SOAR platforms, strong scripting skills, and a track record of delivering scalable automation in complex environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, MIS, or related field.
• 6–10 years of relevant experience in security automation, SOAR engineering, SOC or cybersecurity engineering.
• Hands-on with enterprise SOAR platforms (e.g., XSOAR, Splunk SOAR, Sentinel, etc.).
• Strong software development and scripting using Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or similar.
• Experience designing REST APIs, web services, SDKs, integrations.
• Knowledge of SOC processes: alert triage, incident response, threat intel, vulnerability management, case management.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SOAR and security automation engagements from discovery to deployment and transition.
• Advise on automation strategy, operating models, governance, and roadmaps for SOC improvements.
• Own solution architecture and delivery quality for enterprise SOAR implementations.
• Design and develop playbooks automating incident triage, enrichment, investigation, containment, and reporting.
• Oversee integrations across SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM, cloud security, threat intel, and ticketing platforms.
• Provide technical oversight for custom integrations, APIs, connectors, and cloud-native automation.
