Job summary

EY is seeking a SOAR Engineering Manager to lead design, delivery, and optimization of security automation solutions for clients across industries. You will guide architecture, playbook development, and integrations while coordinating with security operations and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field (as implied by role seniority)
• Experience leading security automation or SOAR projects in enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with enterprise SOAR platforms (e.g., Cortex XSOAR, Splunk SOAR, Swimlane)
• Strong software development and scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, JavaScript)
• Experience designing REST APIs and custom integrations
• Knowledge of SOC processes and security technologies integration

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SOAR and security automation engagements from discovery through deployment
• Advise on automation strategy, governance, and platform selection
• Own solution architecture and delivery quality for enterprise SOAR implementations
• Design and develop playbooks for incident triage, investigation, and remediation
• Oversee integrations across SIEM, EDR/XDR, IAM, and cloud security platforms
• Provide technical oversight for custom integrations and APIs
• Conduct architecture reviews and executive briefings
• Manage engagement scope, risks, staffing, and milestones
• Establish engineering standards and production support models
• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams
• Identify follow-on opportunities and contribute to proposals
• Stay aware of emerging threats and AI-assisted security operations
