Realtor.com is seeking a Staff Software Engineer - Platform Administration to lead Snowflake administration and optimization across a massive data platform. You will build secure, scalable data warehouse practices and mentor engineers while collaborating with data teams to meet business needs.

You will work in a fast-paced Agile environment, balancing strategic platform improvements with operational reliability, security, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data platform engineering or database administration
• 4+ years administering and optimizing Snowflake in production
• Strong SQL, data modeling, and performance optimization
• Proficient in Python for automation and tooling
• Experience with cloud architectures and IaC

Responsibilities

• Own delivery and evolution of Snowflake Data Warehouse infrastructure for 900+ users
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis for data pipelines
• Design security frameworks (RBAC, masking, encryption) and compliance
• Build monitoring, alerts, and observability tools; cost optimization
• Automate provisioning, scheduling, and access reviews
• Mentor engineers and drive data warehouse architecture decisions
• Collaborate with product, data engineering, and analytics teams
