Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Portage, WI seeks a Groomer/Equipment Operator to groom all skiable terrain and maintain equipment in safe, clean condition. You will coordinate with managers to plan and execute slope maintenance and share grooming records.

The role requires 5+ years in grooming/heavy equipment, 2+ years laborer experience, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. 12-hour shifts and extreme weather conditions are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years of grooming and/or heavy equipment operating experience.
• Minimum of 2 years laborer experience or equivalent.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs and safely climb in, out, and around all equipment.

Responsibilities

• Grooming and maintenance of all skiable terrain.
• Ongoing training of groomer equipment operation.
• Entering grooming records in orderly fashion.
• Maintain and facilitate equipment cleanliness.
• Assistance in preventative maintenance of grooming and equipment fleet (i.e. greasing, daily checklists, etc.).
• Communicate directly through work orders with fleet mechanics and manager.
• Facilitate slope maintenance at manager’s discretion (i.e. tree trimming, padding, etc.).
• Communicate with grooming manager, snowmaking manager, terrain park manager, lifts operations manager, risk manager, and mountain manager as to all skiable terrain concerns and plans of action.
• Off-season duties include but are not limited to assisting with equipment operation, snowmaking maintenance, and slope maintenance.
• Will not be limited to specific duties within this description and assist wherever grooming manager sees fit.
