Job summary

Kingston Technology, Inc. is seeking an SMT Engineer to develop, review, and optimize SMT processes for improved productivity, efficiency, and quality across new and existing products. The role ensures peak line performance and adherence to process standards. Salary ranges from $115,000 to $140,000.

The ideal candidate will analyze workflows, optimize layout and methods, and document processes while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering field with 3–7 years SMT manufacturing/process experience, or an associate degree with 5+ years SMT experience.
• Strong understanding of SMT lead-free processes and materials.
• Ability to set up and optimize SMT process parameters.
• Familiar with IPC-A-610 and ISO9001 environments.
• Proficient in MS Office and able to write procedures and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Develops and optimizes production and manufacturing processes to meet output, quality, and cost targets.
• Analyzes workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements.
• Maximizes efficiency through layout, methods, and workforce utilization.
• Recommends process, equipment, and method improvements to enhance resources.
• Creates process documentation and provides training and communication to staff.
