Job summary

RTX is hiring a Manager for Machine Maintenance and Machine Programming to maintain and optimize SMT production equipment used in aerospace manufacturing. The role involves program creation, feeder setup, reflow profiling, and process validation to ensure high reliability and efficiency.

The candidate should have extensive hands-on experience with SMT tools (pick-and-place, printers, reflow) and a strong background in electronics manufacturing, with a focus on continuous improvement and quality

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience with 8+ years in related work.
• Experience interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and machine diagnostics.
• Hands-on experience with SMT manufacturing equipment maintenance and programming (3+ years).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on SMT production equipment.
• Create or modify machine programs for SMT line operation.
• Diagnose and repair SMT equipment including electrical and mechanical issues.
• Calibrate machine performance and validate soldering quality.
• Support NPI activities and process validation.
• Maintain documentation and setup instructions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to improve yield and throughput.
• Ensure compliance with safety and IPC standards.
