Job summary

Celestica is seeking an SMT Equipment Maintenance Engineer in Fort Worth to lead hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of SMT lines, automated test systems, robotic cells, and liquid cooling support for L6 through L11 builds.

You will drive preventive maintenance, calibration, and reliability efforts to maximize OEE, lead equipment installation and qualification, and support NPI and production on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on SMT troubleshooting and repair in production.
• Strong reading of electrical/mechanical schematics and diagrams.
• Experience with calibration and preventive maintenance of SMT lines.
• Familiarity with cooling systems, CDUs, and heat management.
• Ability to lead on-site repairs and coordinate with process teams.

Responsibilities

• SMT Repair & Troubleshooting: diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and vision failures on active SMT equipment.
• Maintenance & Reliability: perform PM, replacements, and calibrations to improve OEE.
• Equipment Installation & Qualification: deploy, align, and validate SMT equipment and related systems.
• Thermal System Management: setup and test liquid cooling infrastructure and cold plates.
• NPI & Production Support: assist line bring-up and transitions with engineering teams.
• Spare Parts Management: manage inventory and liaise with vendors for parts.
• Continuous Improvement: implement retrofits and process tweaks to boost throughput.
