Senior/SME-Level Emergency Management and Continuity of Operations Planner

Arlington, VA

Description: CASE Management Consulting is searching for a Senior/SME-level Emergency Management and Exercise Planner to join a high-performing team. This position is high op-tempo, and high-visibility in support of an appreciative client who works closely with the contractor team and provides monthly feedback to the CASE leadership team!

Duties: The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exercise support to the Defense Logistics Agency Continuity of Operations (COOP) Program to include:

Current Operations Support – this is required to perform mission support to the Secretary of Defense Succession Program, which stemmed from a 90-day review of the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Succession Program as directed by the Secretary of Defense.
The resulting review concluded there is a need for increased Successor training, personnel location and disposition, mission support modernization, and facility readiness awareness.
This support is required to assist and provide technical advice in the development of the Secretary and Successor decision support staff, operating procedures, and work products.
Crisis Response Mission Support – this is required to perform mission support activities for the establishment and sustainment of the Secretary of Defense Crisis Response Program.
This new mission support requirement is a result of the DoDI 3020.44 Defense Crisis Management revision that has been underway for the last six months.
Additionally, the Continuity Coordination Element (CCE) is an enduring function that will require augmentation by contract personnel during a continuity or crisis response.
Will provide daily support in preparation for National Special Security Events, Defense Continuity Crisis response support, provide situational awareness/briefing products, and develop and maintain standard operating procedures.
Will perform daily liaison support across the DoD, the Interagency, and at the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense and Assistant Secretary of Defense level in support of the continuity and crisis management mission sets.

Qualifications:

BA/BS preferred. TS or TS/SCI Required
10+ years of support to National Level Exercises, HSEEP-governed exercises, and continuity of operations experience (HSEEP certification preferred).
Experience supporting senior officials – both military and civilian – on a daily basis.
Expert-level communication skills - verbally, and in writing.
