Job summary

Axiom Staffing Group- Roswell is seeking an SMD Technician for Roswell, GA to manage EMS equipment and perform preventive maintenance. You will operate SMD, wave soldering, and milling machines, and optimize process settings to ensure stable production quality.

The role requires a Diploma or technical certification in Electronics/Mechatronics and at least 4 years in an EMS environment. IPC standards and QA collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical certification in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 4+ years hands-on EMS manufacturing experience with SMD, wave soldering and milling equipment.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics, and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and optimize SMD machines (pick-and-place, stencil printer, reflow oven), wave soldering systems, and milling machines.
• Perform process settings to ensure stable production quality and machine efficiency.
• Analyze production data to refine parameters and reduce defects.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and keep thorough service records.
• Commission, calibrate, and integrate machines after FAT/SAT.
• Ensure IPC and internal quality standards are met; collaborate with QA/QC.
• Read and interpret drawings; work with maintenance and production teams.
