Job summary

Job Description

Skilled EMS Technician to manage and maintain equipment critical to PCB assembly processes. This role involves operating and performing preventive maintenance of machines involved in EMS processes (Pick & Place, SPI/AOI, wave/selective soldering, and PCB milling machines, along with setting up and optimizing process parameters. The Technician will also be responsible for Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for new equipment and ensuring seamless machine integration into the production workflow.

  • Set up, operate, and optimize SMD machines (pick-and-place, stencil printer, reflow oven), wave soldering systems, and milling machines.
  • Perform process settings and adjustments to ensure stable production quality and machine efficiency.
  • Analyze production data to refine process parameters and reduce defects.
  • Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance activities for all related equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain records of maintenance schedules, service history, and spare parts usage.
  • Identify and resolve equipment issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Responsible for machine commissioning, calibration, and production line integration post-FAT
  • Ensure assembly output meets IPC and internal quality standards.
  • Work in conjunction with QA/QC teams to identify and address process-related quality issues.
  • To be involved and initiate the machine qualification and product qualification.
  • Follow ESD-safe practices, safety standards.
  • Based on the workload, willing to work in production.
  • Diploma or technical certification in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in an EMS environment or related manufacturing where similar type of machines were handled.
  • Proficient in operating and maintaining SMD, wave soldering, and milling machines or have the capability & knowledge to get trained to execute the job.
  • Understanding of machine installation and FAT&SAT.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills for machine operation and reporting.
  • Team player with good communication and time-management skills.
