Job summary

Light & Wonder is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, code, and test game software used in slot machines. You will work with Unity and other graphics tools to implement features, debug issues, and ensure quality across the platform and OS.

You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal tools while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of new programming methods. Collaboration with QA and a focus on robust verification are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in a software development team.
• 2D and 3D graphics programming experience (Unity or Godot preferred).
• Proficient in C# or C++ with strong OO design concepts.
• Familiarity with Windows programming environment including Unity and Visual Studio.
• Experience with IDEs/compilers, debuggers, profilers, and version control systems.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers or peers in a game development setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, integrate, test, and debug game software for slot machines.
• Demonstrate understanding of platform hardware, libraries, and OS.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure regulatory compliance and timely release.
• Maintain internal systems knowledge and contribute to tooling.
• Mentor junior engineers across studios.
• Create or update documentation for features and interfaces.
• Evaluate and adopt AI-assisted coding workflows while ensuring safeguards.
