Job summary

Light & Wonder is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, implement, and optimize slot game software across platforms. You will work with modern toolchains and AI-assisted coding while ensuring robust validation and documentation.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in software development, strong C#/C++ skills, and familiarity with Unity or Godot, Windows environments, and team-oriented collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a software development team.
• 2D/3D graphics programming experience; Unity or Godot preferred.
• Gaming industry experience is preferred.
• Proficient in C# or C++ with OO design.
• Familiar with Windows development, Unity, and Visual Studio.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with AI coding assistants and verification.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, integrate, test, and debug game software for slot machines.
• Understand platform hardware, libraries, and OS.
• Communicate technical requirements to team members.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure regulatory compliance and timely release.
• Mentor junior engineers across studios.
• Create or update documentation for features and interfaces.
• Contribute to in-house tools and engineering support.
• Maintain knowledge of new programming methods.
• Use Claude Code and Cowork in daily work.
• Evaluate and adopt agentic coding workflows.
