Job summary

Onward Robotics in Pittsburgh seeks a Senior Localization Engineer to lead SLAM, sensor fusion, and mapping for production robots. You will own end-to-end localization pipelines and mentor junior engineers.

Design robust algorithms, test rigorously, and deploy solutions on real robots in warehouse settings, collaborating with hardware and software teams and using ROS2, C++, and Linux.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Localization experience.
• Hands-on experience with SLAM, sensor fusion, and mapping.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement localization algorithms with a focus on SLAM and state estimation.
• Lead testing, specification, and integration of localization solutions with robotics platforms.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to validate localization systems.
