Job summary

Mecka is hiring a Senior SLAM & Calibration Engineer to own calibration of devices after factory release. You will implement online calibration, refine video-based calibration, and monitor calibration drift across the fleet.

You will work with the CVML and hardware teams to ensure calibration integrity on real hardware in production. This on-site role requires collaboration across time zones and periodic travel to our hardware site, with emphasis on robust SLAM/VIO backed by strong C++/Python

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience building, maintaining, or improving SLAM, visual-inertial odometry, and Structure-from-Motion pipelines in production.
• Hands-on experience with online or continuous calibration and camera + IMU calibration.
• Experience owning calibration across many devices and building monitoring to catch drift.

Responsibilities

• Own online calibration: develop continuous, in-pipeline camera calibration from hardware-synced video and IMU.
• Rebuild video-based calibration across the fleet including monocular wrist-cam path.
• Monitor the fleet: build metrics to detect calibration drift and manage calibration version history.
• Make SLAM carry calibration: improve SLAM/VIO to output calibration-related signals.
