Job summary

Gorilla Glue Company in Sharonville, OH, seeks a Formulation Scientist to develop innovative skin care products across categories, from bench to pilot to production, in collaboration with the O’Keeffe’s brand.

You will lead cross-functional teams with Marketing, Packaging Development, Process Development, Quality and Regulatory to ensure performance, stability, and regulatory compliance. Mentoring and external collaboration are also key components of the role.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S./M.S. in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or related field with 5–7 years of experience.
• Experience as an R&D formulator in personal care; bench to production scale.
• Ability to lead projects and supervise others; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test new and improved skin care products across various categories.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Packaging Development, Process Development, Quality, and Regulatory teams to ensure product and raw material specifications meet performance, stability, manufacturability, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Manage project team communication, updating team members on progress, milestones, critical next steps, and any risks as the products proceed through the development cycle.
• Stay current with recent developments, innovations, and technologies that may enhance products and manufacturing processes.
• Design formulations intended to meet desired claims, collaborating with the claims team to support claims substantiation.
• Possibly manage an individual to support formulation and testing efforts.
• Provide internal training and sales support, including demo creation and attending strategic customer meetings.
• Embrace and effectively utilize AI-enabled tools and technologies to enhance productivity, innovation, learning, and decision-making.
