Job summary

Grainger seeks a Senior Learning and Development Consultant to partner with the business to diagnose skill gaps and design, deliver, and improve skills-based learning across ILT, VILT, blended pathways, microlearning, and performance support. Acting as both instructional designer and facilitator, you will create assets and adapt in real time to maximize learner engagement and sustain behavior change.

This hybrid role is onsite in Lake Forest, IL, two days a week, with collaboration across HR,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and 3+ years designing and delivering skills-based learning.
• Experience facilitating live and virtual sessions with business stakeholders.
• Instructional design, training delivery, and learning solution development.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops skills-based learning solutions using a skill-first approach.
• Creates engaging learning experiences across ILT, VILT, blended paths, microlearning, and performance support.
• Translates business needs into practical learning assets such as facilitator guides and job aids.
• Facilitates and delivers learning in-person and virtually to maximize engagement.
• Coaches learners, managers, and leaders to apply skills on the job over time.
• Partners with leaders and HR to diagnose skill gaps and recommend targeted solutions.
• Owns learning projects end to end from needs analysis to evaluation and improvement.
