Job summary

National General, part of The Allstate Corporation, seeks an experienced Special Investigative Unit Senior Consultant I to lead complex fraud investigations across Auto, Homeowners, and Specialty Lines. This field-based role covers a three-hour radius around Chicago and requires prior SIU experience and a track record of resolving suspicious claims.

You will conduct background searches, interviews, and data reviews, and determine payment eligibility while coordinating with claim teams.

Qualifications

• Experience investigating complex fraud in insurance claims.
• Strong background in SIU or fraud investigations preferred.
• Experience across Auto, Homeowners, and Specialty Lines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Makes claim decisions regarding complex investigations and pursues restitution.
• Manages and resolves customer communications and conflicts.
• Validates information from investigations for accuracy and leads on possible leads.
• Conducts thorough investigations of complex multi-discipline claims to determine payment eligibility.
• Utilizes analytic tools to identify claims for investigation and support in evidence of fraud and damages.
• Summarizes documents and notes in claim systems with evaluations and decisions.
