Job summary

Louis Ptak Construction in California is seeking a Site Superintendent to lead high-end custom residential projects with budgets of $10–$45 million. You will coordinate day-to-day field activities, manage safety, quality, and subcontractors, and work closely with the PM/APM/PA and trade partners to maintain schedule and quality.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of construction experience.
• 5+ years as Superintendent in high-end custom residential construction.
• Experience building large custom residential projects with budgets similar to $10–$25 million.
• GC license history or ran own GC company and now seeking a role with another employer.
• Strong ability to read architectural, structural, civil, and MEP plans.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day site activities for large, complex custom residential projects.
• Lead site logistics, sequencing, safety, quality control, and subcontractor coordination.
• Lay out the house from axis lines/gridlines directing concrete, structural steel, and carpenters.
• Review and markup shop drawings for structural and finish trades.
• Build and update the project schedule, critical path and look-ahead plans.
• Facilitate communication with client, architect, designer, engineer, inspector, and subs.
• Collaborate with PM, APM, PA, and subs to foresee and solve problems.
