Job summary

RW Mercer is seeking a Site Superintendent for General Contracting to lead on-site construction activities in Grand Rapids, MI. The role involves supervising subcontractor crews, coordinating laborers, carpenters, technicians, materials, and equipment to ensure projects stay on schedule.

You will conduct safety meetings, enforce quality control, and collaborate with the Project Manager and Field Operations Manager to align on scheduling and costs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older and possess High School Diploma, GED, or equivalency.
• Must have 5 years of construction or restoration experience.
• Clean driving record and eligible to operate a motor vehicle (CDL license, if possible, but not required)

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site construction activities and supervise subcontractor crews.
• Coordinate laborers, carpenters, technicians, materials, and equipment to meet project schedules.
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure site safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
• Review job schedule and cost breakdown with Salesperson, Project Manager and Field Operations Manager prior to job start.
• Communicate scheduling needs and progress with project teams and subcontractors as required.
