Job summary

RW Mercer is a family-owned construction and service company seeking a Site Superintendent for on-site leadership in Grand Rapids, MI. You will supervise installation and construction work, coordinate crews, and ensure work progresses according to plans and schedules.

This role requires strong on-site leadership, safety oversight, and clear communication with the Project Manager, Field Operations Manager, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older with HS diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years of construction or restoration experience.
• Clean driving record; CDL license, if possible, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all on-site construction activities, including subcontractor crews.
• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and scheduling with project team.
• Ensure safety meetings are conducted and standards are met.
• Review job schedule and cost breakdown with PM and Field Ops Manager.
• Maintain communication with Project Manager on issues or concerns.
