Job summary

Hatch is seeking a Site Health and Safety Manager for a mining project in Nevada. You will lead health and safety strategy, training, and incident investigations to ensure a no-harm culture across project teams, with a strong emphasis on compliance and continuous improvement.

The role requires 10+ years in health and safety on major sites, the ability to travel, and a BS in Safety Management or related field (CSP preferred).

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in health and safety on major construction projects.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• High level of computer skills expected.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice, strategies and problem solving on all health and safety issues to achieve the goal of ‘no harm’.
• Promote a culture where health and safety is a core value and not negotiable.
• Implement safety policy, planning requirements and standards aligned with Hatch safety management system.
• Prepare a Safety Management Plan for offices and projects.
• Identify training needs and deliver safety training across personnel and contractors.
• Review contractor safety plans and SOPs before work commences.
• Define local regulatory requirements and communicate them to leadership.
• Lead hazard analysis and risk assessment across all project disciplines.
• Lead incident investigations and report outcomes and corrective actions.
• Coordinate health and safety reporting to office and regional leaders.
