Job summary

Pogue Construction in Texas is seeking a Safety Professional to oversee project safety, health, and environmental policies on active construction sites. You will stop work when unsafe conditions arise and implement corrective actions in collaboration with the Safety Director.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques.
• Ability to identify known potential exposures and drive corrective action.
• Computer skills and experience with MS Office suite programs.
• Proven leadership, interpersonal skills, and ability to train others.
• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and make decisions related to project safety, health, and environmental policies.
• Observe and stop work when immediate danger is present.
• Collaborate with Safety Director to implement corrective actions.
• Provide leadership assigned to projects and build relationships with project staff.
• Serve as site Safety Professional for all assigned construction projects.
• Act as onsite resource for safety questions, concerns, and improvements.
• Coordinate safety committee meetings and training programs.
