Job summary

H.E.B. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer-Site Reliability to support the Digital Fulfilment team in building reliable, scalable services. You will work on the build and deployment pipeline, diagnose production issues, and contribute to system design, security, and performance improvements.

The role emphasizes on-call readiness and collaboration with multiple engineering teams to ensure high availability and efficient operations across cloud and container platforms.

Qualifications

• Designing, analyzing, developing, or troubleshooting distributed systems with strong debugging skills.
• Experience with cloud and container platforms in production environments.
• Proven ability to implement scalable, highly available services.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains tooling for environment monitoring and task automation.
• Analyses and designs service architectures, capacity planning, and deployment plans.
• Ensures configuration, performance tuning, and efficient database connections and indexing.
• Collaborates with teams to review release plans and launch readiness.
• Monitors SLOs/SLAs and addresses gaps to improve reliability.
• Acts as SME for cross-functional engineering teams and troubleshoots system issues.
