Job summary

Leidos seeks a TS/SCI-cleared Site Reliability Engineer to support ABMS DI Processing Node at Hickam AFB, Hawaii. The role focuses on system health, automation, and scalable infrastructure within the DoD JADC2 framework.

You will partner with program managers, domain engineers, and government counterparts to deliver secure, high-availability services and to continuously improve incident response and performance.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance required.
• BS degree with 8-12 years of experience or Master's with 6-10 years.
• Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proficiency in scripting and coding (Python, Bash, Go).
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Rancher/Harvester).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Liaison between site operators and DI team members; on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain system health.
• Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployment of new features.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents to minimize downtime.
• Conduct post-incident reviews and implement improvements.
• Optimize system performance and scalability.
• Document processes and procedures for future reference.
• Perform data center tasks: backups, software installs, ACAS scans, hardware upgrades, and networking.
