Job summary
Early Warning, the company behind Zelle® and Paze℠, is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to improve reliability, observability, and performance of production services. You will partner with software engineering and other tech teams to embed reliability into systems across their lifecycle.
The role emphasizes incident response, automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code, with a hybrid work model in San Francisco and other hubs.
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of professional experience in software or site reliability engineering.
- Experience with software development or scripting in modern languages.
- Experience with public cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with distributed systems, production troubleshooting, observability.
Responsibilities
- Improve how services are built, tested, deployed, observed, operated, and recovered.
- Identify reliability risks using data and rigorous engineering analysis.
- Define SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and health metrics.
- Enhance observability with metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards.
- Lead incident response and post-incident learning.
- Reduce operational toil through automation and reusable patterns.
