Job summary

Parabola is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to measure system health and drive high-impact reliability improvements. You will own on-call responsiveness, scale infrastructure, and optimize developer experience while collaborating with leadership on reliability strategy.

You will work across performance, security, and architecture areas, focusing on running thousands of workflows and improving observability in a hybrid NYC/SF office environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SRE, DevOps, or Platform engineering experience.
• Proven ability to build scalable, performant systems with measurable reliability.
• Experience with containerization, orchestration, and AWS infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor core systems and define SLOs/SLAs to drive reliability.
• Extend and monitor our infrastructure stack for business-critical use.
• Maintain a mental and tangible model of systems to estimate risk and plan work.
• Collaborate with engineers and leadership to apply reliability expertise.
• Work on orchestration logic for running tens of thousands of workflows (Temporal).
• Advise backend projects from planning through release to improve reliability and scalability.
• Improve developer experience and engineering processes, considering AI tooling constraints.
