Job summary

Verrus is hiring a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to design, build, and operate the software infrastructure that underpins our data‑center platform. This hands‑on role focuses on writing production Go code, building the internal platform across AWS EKS, on‑prem HCI, and EKS‑A, and delivering reliable production services with strong observability and testing.

You will lead by shipping code, reviewing changes, and mentoring peers while collaborating with networking, controls, ME, and product

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, SRE, or Production Engineering.
• 3+ years at Senior or Staff level on production-critical systems.
• Strong production-grade proficiency in Golang and Go services.
• Deep experience with public cloud (AWS, GCP) and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on engineering: write production-grade Go code for platform, services, and tooling.
• Platform building: span AWS EKS, on‑prem HCI, and EKS‑A components.
• Application engineering: own production services like API gateway and auth.
• Production hardening: lead investigations, postmortems, and fixes.
• Cyber‑physical reliability: build tooling for reliability across software and BESS/controls.
