Vercel is seeking an engineer for the Agentic Infrastructure team who will own the systems powering the build and deployment lifecycle at scale. You’ll design, implement, and operate high-performance microservices ensuring speed, reliability, and developer delight across millions of builds daily.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing, building, and operating backend apps and distributed systems at scale.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong proficiency with AWS and Terraform.
• End-to-end ownership from design to production operation.
• Strong cross-team collaboration and ability to align priorities.
• Ability to reason about architectural tradeoffs and long-term vision.
• Mentorship and code review to raise team standards.
• Curious and eager to learn, pushing the boundaries of modern software.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the infrastructure powering Vercel's build and deployment lifecycle.
• Design and operate high-performance microservices processing millions of builds daily.
• Lead projects end-to-end from opportunities to technical direction and improvements.
• Collaborate across teams to align infrastructure with company goals and workflows.
• Shape long-term vision of agentic infrastructure with scalable, reliable standards.
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure reliability of critical systems.
• Contribute to open-source community representing Vercel's developer tools commitment.
• Write clean, tested, well-documented code that others can build upon.
