Job summary

Harvey is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our AI-powered platform. You will join a high-leverage team at the intersection of infrastructure and product, owning systems that keep the platform fast, secure, and always on.

This role is based in San Francisco, CA with an in-person work model and relocation assistance for new employees. You will design and manage monitoring, incident response, and automation to sustain high reliability as

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or similar roles supporting production environments.
• Proficiency with IaC tools (Pulumi, Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Deep familiarity with observability tools (Datadog, Sentry) and incident response practices (PagerDuty, IncidentIO).
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS).
• Strong programming skills (Python, Bash, Go).
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Kubernetes, containerization, networking, databases, and cloud security principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage monitoring, alerting, and infrastructure across 50+ regions.
• Lead incident management processes, including postmortems and root cause analyses.
• Automate operational tasks and workflows for capacity planning and safe data access.
• Collaborate across teams to improve reliability, security, and compliance.
• Optimize infrastructure costs while maintaining performance and reliability.
