Job summary

Moniepoint Inc. is seeking an experienced SRE to engineer the reliability of its highly distributed platform. You will define SLOs, lead incident response, and build automation and self-healing mechanisms to scale with hyper-growth.

You will balance immediate stability with long-term engineering, collaborating with product teams and using Java, Go, or Python to deliver production-ready tooling.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of SRE or backend engineering experience.
• Strong coding ability in Java, Go, Rust, or Python.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience with cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure) and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with observability tools (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Datadog, etc.).
• Experience with relational databases and streaming platforms (PostgreSQL/MySQL, Kafka/RabbitMQ).

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-call lead and incident commander during major incidents.
• Instrument code to expose metrics and traces; help define SLOs and error budgets.
• Develop internal tooling and self-healing automation in Java, Go, or Python.
• Collaborate with product engineering to embed reliability patterns in new services.
• Analyze performance and run load tests and chaos experiments to assess resilience.
