Job summary

The American Heart Association in Dallas, TX seeks a Sr Systems Engineer, Site Reliability to optimize our IT infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud platforms, focusing on security, performance, and cost efficiency. This senior role leads architecture decisions, automation, and IAM strategy while guiding technical teams.

You will design, implement, and test robust systems across Azure, AWS, GCP, and Oracle, enforce data protection strategies, and drive reliability and efficiency in cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years minimum prior relevant experience.
• Analytical thinking, collaboration, and strong IT architecture skills.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments, IAM and security.

Responsibilities

• Leads design, planning, implementation, and testing of on-premise and cloud resources (Azure, AWS, GCP, Oracle).
• Conducts in-depth assessments, research, and testing of emerging technologies for strategic initiatives.
• Develops and enforces advanced security measures and data protection strategies.
• Troubleshoots complex issues and provides IAM expert-level support.
• Uses automation tools to optimize cloud operations and deployments.
• Implements cost-saving opportunities for cloud spending.
• Designs and deploys IAM solutions (Entra ID, SSO, MFA) for secure access.
