Job summary

The Glove is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to support production environments, improve system reliability, and automate operational processes. The role emphasizes strong troubleshooting, Linux/Windows expertise, and experience with Oracle, DB2, and web services.

You will collaborate with distributed teams, lead critical incident responses, and contribute to SOPs and technical documentation. Some extended or weekend coverage may be required in high-priority situations.

• 5+ years of overall IT experience.
• 2–3 years of technical lead/business analytics experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor critical application and production environments.
• Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and performance issues.
• Analyze logs and identify root causes of production incidents.
• Manage and track incidents including outages.
• Participate in critical incident calls and drive technical resolution.
• Facilitate incident analysis and follow-up activities.
• Identify opportunities for automation and operational improvement.
• Work closely with distributed and offshore teams.
• Provide technical solutions for complex production issues.
• Research and replicate user experiences to validate solutions.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and technical documentation.
• Provide technical leadership and recommendations for process improvements.
• Interact with client leadership and technical SMEs.
• Support extended/weekend hours during critical situations when required.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support production environments, improve system reliability and uptime, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and identify opportunities for automation and operational improvements.

The ideal candidate will have strong production support, troubleshooting, Linux, database, web services, monitoring, and client-facing experience, along with knowledge of AIOps and monitoring tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of overall IT experience.
• 2–3 years of technical lead/business analytics experience.
• Strong production support and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong understanding of Linux and Windows server environments.
• Strong knowledge of PL/SQL, Oracle, and/or DB2.
• Experience developing and consuming SOAP and REST web services.
• Strong knowledge of Tomcat, Apache, WAS, and IIS.
• Experience with system management and monitoring tools.
• Experience with Dynatrace, TrueSight, OEM, or similar tools.
• Good understanding of AIOps and NLP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of Agile methodology.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GlassBox, ITCAMS, DT Managed, or similar tools.
• Experience leading critical incident/problem-management activities.
• Experience identifying and implementing automation opportunities.
