Oracle is seeking a senior Site Reliability Engineer to act as a technical authority, establish reliability standards, and guide complex decisions across Windows and Linux environments.

You will design scalable infrastructure, drive automation, manage incident response, and collaborate with software teams to reduce risk and manual effort. This role blends architecture with hands-on execution and requires strong communication of risks to leadership.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in site reliability engineering, systems engineering, infrastructure architecture, production operations, or application hosting.
• Demonstrated ability to design and support highly available, resilient, and secure enterprise systems.
• Experience leading complex technical initiatives across engineering, operations, security, networking, and applications teams.
• Ability to make sound architectural decisions, evaluate tradeoffs, and communicate recommendations to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Design and architect reliable, secure, scalable, and maintainable infrastructure and services.
• Establish technical direction, engineering standards, and operational best practices across complex environments.
• Identify system dependencies, risks, capacity constraints, performance issues, and potential failure points.
• Translate requirements into practical infrastructure and reliability solutions.
• Lead installation, configuration, deployment, and validation of applications across Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Oversee structured builds and deployments using runbooks, scripts, readiness assessments, change controls, and post‑deployment validation.
• Troubleshoot complex OS, service, app, and connectivity issues.
• Define and improve monitoring, alerting, logging, observability, and capacity planning.
• Develop and promote automation that reduces manual effort and lowers risk.
• Own administration of an enterprise automation platform and drive adoption across teams.
• Lead OS, middleware, and application patching initiatives including change planning and validation.
• Direct major incident response and root cause analysis.
• Partner with cybersecurity teams on remediation and hardening.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve reliability and security.
• Create and maintain technical standards, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers.
• Communicate risks and decisions clearly to leadership.
