ERM is seeking an EHS Manager to provide senior, hands‑on safety leadership for a dedicated facility near Columbus, Ohio. This full-time, 12-month role demands independent operation in a fast-paced environment, building practical safety systems that scale with the business.

The role covers special projects with 24/7 operations, risk planning, and incident management, partnering with Engineering, Facilities, and other teams to embed safety into design and work planning.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive EHS experience in complex technical environments.
• Experience leading site-level EHS strategy and execution with cross-functional partners.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and regulatory readiness.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior EHS partner across operations, owning site safety strategy and execution.
• Anticipate EHS requirements for new operations, equipment, and 24/7 activities.
• Lead proactive risk identification and control across projects and sites.
• Build and maintain site EHS programs, risk assessments, procedures, and training.
• Partner with Engineering, Facilities, Security, Legal, and vendors to embed safety in design and work planning.
• Provide field leadership across shifts and establish EHS coverage and escalation mechanisms.
• Lead incident investigation with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Use data to identify recurring risks and drive preventive actions across sites.
• Oversee contractor and contingent-worker safety interfaces and reporting.
