Job summary

Syneos Health, Inc. is seeking a Sr Site Contracts Specialist/Contract Navigator for a US home-based/remote role.

You will support the end-to-end contracting process for internal stakeholders and external partners, coordinating across legal, procurement, contracting, finance, and compliance to ensure timely, compliant agreements. The role requires 5+ years in a regulated contract environment, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to navigate a matrix organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, business, law, operations, or a related field; a legal or paralegal credential is preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant CRO/contract-intensive experience with site contracts, CDAs, HCP, vendor agreements, etc.
• Ability to think critically, analyze complex information, anticipate downstream impacts, and make recommendations.
• Experience in a matrix environment with cross-functional teams.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver within timelines.
• Demonstrated compliance aptitude and ability to interpret policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Guide stakeholders through the contracting process to reduce administrative burden and accelerate project execution.
• Manage contract-related activities from intake through completion, including coordination, tracking, documentation, and issue resolution.
• Apply critical thinking to evaluate requests, clarify business needs, identify risks and gaps, and recommend paths forward.
• Exercise independent judgment on complex, high-priority, or time-sensitive matters.
• Build and maintain relationships across a matrix organization, aligning stakeholders with different priorities.
• Serve as a strategic thought partner who can influence outcomes without direct authority and promote timely decisions.
• Coordinate with internal partner functions and external parties during contract development and negotiation, including business terms and financial considerations.
• Implement strategies, standards, processes, and controls in alignment with business needs.
• Maintain visibility into contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and related activities for status monitoring.
• Identify and resolve process, PO, invoice, and vendor issues; escalate when appropriate.
• Identify improvements, remove barriers, share best practices, and help develop scalable tools and processes.
• Promote customer focus, enterprise thinking, cross-functional collaboration, compliance, ethics, safety, and risk management.
