Job Description

Purpose

Describe the primary goals, objectives, functions, or outputs of this position.

The Senior Site Contract Manager in Purchasing & Supplier Management is responsible for ensuring the timely and appropriate execution of various site-related agreements, including Clinical Study Agreements, Confidentiality Disclosure Agreements, Master Clinical Study Agreements, Investigator Initiated Study Agreements, Facility Use Agreements, and associated budgets and service provider agreements linked to the CSAs. This role collaborates with R&D business teams and external parties, drafts, negotiates, and executes agreements, ensuring final contracts are delivered on time, within Fair Market Value, and compliant with legal and regulatory standards. The SSCM serves as a US contract management expert, mentors colleagues, and drives process improvements within the organization.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring the timely preparation and execution of CSAs, CDAs, budgets, and vendor agreements, acting as the point person for assigned regions.
  2. Negotiating agreements and budgets with investigator sites, liaising with legal for approval of changes.
  3. Contributing to updates of legal and budget playbooks and templates.
  4. Maintaining proper documentation and tracking of agreements and related information.
  5. Managing priorities and communication with stakeholders, escalating issues as needed.
  6. Leading process improvement initiatives and representing the US Contract Management function on project teams.
  7. Exhibiting high competency in contract management, negotiation, and critical thinking.
  8. Providing guidance and mentorship to team members.
  9. Partnering with Country Operations Managers to ensure effective contract processes.

This is a Remote US-based role

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in healthcare, business, legal, or scientific fields.
  • At least 5 years of clinical research and/or contract/budget experience, with knowledge of compliance and regulatory matters.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and business skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in team management and financial planning is a plus.
