Job summary

WGNSTAR, an ABM company, is seeking a Project Construction Superintendent to lead on-site construction activities in Boise, ID. The role focuses on safety, quality, and schedule, coordinating field teams, engineering, and vendors while ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.

The ideal candidate has strong field leadership, understands P&IDs, and can manage documents, RFIs, and permits. This hourly, full-time position offers full benefits and on-site work.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of construction processes, systems, materials, and installation methods.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, shop drawings, cut sheets, and tech docs.
• Knowledge of construction safety practices and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary field representative for the client and project team during construction activities.
• Oversee daily construction operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within quality standards, and according to drawings and engineering specifications.
• Monitor labor productivity, workmanship, and installation quantities for labor and materials.
• Ensure compliance with all safety requirements, including JHAs, Pre-Task Plans, signage, barricades, barriers, and site housekeeping standards.
• Coordinate field activities between contractors, construction trades, engineering, system owners, tool owners, and vendors.
• Track project progress against schedules, identify risks or delays, and assist in developing recovery or contingency plans.
• Verify that all field documents, drawings, revisions, and specifications are current and accurately followed.
• Support design clarification efforts and expedite critical RFIs, submittals, and change requests as needed.
• Manage permitting activities, coordinate city inspections and permit walks, and ensure required project documentation is completed and maintained.
• Conduct quality assurance inspections, verify work meets construction standards, complete record drawing reviews, and ensure accurate as-built documentation and red-line drawing updates.
