Job summary

NewCold in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Site Construction Manager to lead design-build projects from inception to turnover. You will coordinate on-site teams, manage safety, schedule, and budget, and represent NewCold with contractors, design teams, and regulators. The role requires 7–10 years of industrial construction experience and strong proficiency with PM tools.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of construction management experience in industrial, warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or cold storage facilities.
• Experience with refrigerated warehouses, freezer facilities, food processing plants, or temperature-controlled logistics facilities a plus
• Strong understanding of OSHA requirements, construction contracts, scheduling, cost control, and quality management. OSHA 30 Certification a plus.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar project management tools.
• Self-starter with ability to identify and execute normal Site Project Management duties

Responsibilities

• Act as the on-site representative of NewCold (the Owner) throughout planning, construction, commissioning, and turnover.
• Protect NewCold’s interests by ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to specified quality standards.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between NewCold, general contractor, design team, equipment suppliers, commissioning agents, and regulatory agencies.
• Provide regular project status reports to executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Monitor contractor performance and enforce contractual requirements.
• Site construction managers are on the project site full-time.
