Job summary

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA is seeking a SIS PLC Specialist at the Chocolate Bayou Works facility in Alvin, Texas. The role focuses on design, configuration, testing, commissioning, and ongoing sustainability of Safety Instrumented Systems and PLCs in alignment with IEC61511 and INEOS PSM principles.

You will support FEL and detailed design, participate in start-up activities, and mentor technicians while ensuring rigorous documentation and adherence to safety standards across CBW sites.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Instrument and/or Electrical technology or equivalent SIS/PLC training.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial experience with Programmable Logic Controllers including interlocks, automation, simulation and maintenance.
• Experience with Allen Bradley, Triconex, GE and Honeywell LM PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Support design, configuration, testing and commissioning of SIS/PLC systems.
• Lead troubleshooting and optimization of SIS/PLC hardware and software at CBW and related sites.
• Develop documentation to support FEL design, detailed design and turnover packages.
• Mentor maintenance technicians in PLC programming, HMI displays and I/O configuration.
• Ensure SIS/Life safety systems meet code requirements and ISA/PSM standards.
