Job summary

North Carolina State University is seeking a Senior Analyst/Project Manager for Student Systems to lead and enhance the Student Information System (SIS) within a complex enterprise environment. You will partner with IT leadership and functional offices to design, build, and implement mid-to-large-scale projects with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and at least two years’ relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree with at least three years’ relevant experience.
• Ability to independently identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system problems that may affect a large number of customers.
• Translate customer requirements and system knowledge into practical technology solutions with a strong customer service focus.
• Thorough understanding of the application development life cycle, including analysis, development, testing, documentation, approval, and post-migration validation.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior member of the SIS Applications Development Team, maintaining and enhancing enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with IT leadership, team members, and functional offices to design, build, and implement moderate to advanced enterprise application development projects with minimal supervision.
• Interpret highly complex business processes and technological functions to develop specifications and recommend resources and technologies for automated solutions.
• Serve as a project manager/analyst across SIS modules, including Student Admissions, Student Records, Advisement, Student Financials, and Financial Aid.
• Design and execute regression, performance, and quality assurance testing to ensure application functionality, reliability, and performance.
• Research emerging technologies and evaluate their feasibility for organizational needs.
