Job summary

RTX is seeking professionals to support the design, development, and use of high‑fidelity digital simulation software in advanced computing environments. You will contribute to trade studies, evaluate weapon system performance across threats, and collaborate with leadership, customers, and experts to drive data‑informed decisions.

Role requires a STEM degree, 5+ years of relevant experience, and an active U.S. Secret clearance with U.S. citizenship. Occasional travel (<10%) is expected. Onsite work in Tucson, AZ with RTX’s aerospace mission focus.

What You Will Do

Support the design, development, and use of high‑fidelity digital simulation software within advanced technical computing environments. Contribute to trade studies that evaluate weapon system performance across multiple threat types and kill‑chain scenarios. Apply established performance engineering practices and procedures to evaluate a wide range of computational problems, including assessments of potential system improvements, missile effectiveness against single or multiple threats, and identification of countermeasures that may influence effectivity or survivability. Collaborate in a team environment by incorporating input from program leadership, external customers, and technical experts, and develop analytic approaches that generate data required to inform programmatic decisions. Participate in the development and implementation of model‑based solutions that support decision systems, including the validation and testing of models, software components, and integrated system elements. Perform occasional travel to support project needs (typically less than 10%).

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Experience developing software code in python/C++.
  • An active and transferable U.S. Secret government issued security clearance is required at the time of application for this position.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Advanced degree in Physics, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Experience using AFSIM or other mission analysis simulation tools.
  • Experience with campaign analysis simulation tools.
  • Experience applying the physics of magnetism in a practical, research, engineering, or laboratory setting.

Security Clearance

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Salary

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
