Intel Corporation in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Senior Silicon Photonics Reliability Engineer to drive reliability strategy, qualification, and technology development for advanced photonic devices and PICs. You will partner with technology development, process integration, design, manufacturing, and quality teams to assess, improve, and certify reliability from development to high-volume manufacturing.

Qualifications

MS in Photonics/Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Semiconductor Engineering, or related STEM with 4+ years of experience.
PhD in related field with 2+ years of industry experience.
Experience in silicon photonics, photonic devices, optical devices, or PICs.
4+ years in reliability engineering, qualification engineering, failure analysis, or technology development within semiconductor or photonics environments.

Responsibilities

Assess intrinsic and extrinsic reliability of photonic devices and PICs.
Develop reliability models and DoE methodologies.
Lead failure analysis and root cause investigations.
Define and implement reliability qualification requirements for new photonics tech.
Collaborate across technology development, process, design, manufacturing and quality teams.
Analyze large data sets to identify trends and risks.
