Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Malta, NY is seeking a Principal Program Manager to lead enterprise-level silicon photonics programs, guiding strategy and execution across multiple sites and functions from concept through qualification and ramp.

You will drive governance, optimize development flows, and collaborate with Design Enablement, Test, Packaging, Operations, Supply Chain, and external partners to deliver high-impact platforms that meet customer metrics while improving profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field.
• 10+ years of experience managing programs or products in semiconductor or photonics.
• Strong understanding of silicon photonics, product lifecycle, and customer engagement.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Own senior customer relationships and executive alignment for SiPh programs.
• Translate SiPh product-line strategy into an integrated portfolio execution plan.
• Accountable for end-to-end delivery across feature definition, design enablement, test strategy, packaging/assembly readiness, qualification, and manufacturing handoff.
• Define and run program/portfolio governance with master schedules across sites; manage risks and mitigation.
• Lead multi-site cross-functional teams to align resources, sequencing, and priorities.
• Set qualification strategy, readiness gates, and acceptance criteria with Quality/Reliability and customers.
• Provide demand and build-plan visibility and surface cost/schedule/technical trade-offs for decisions.
