Job summary

Amphenol Corporation is seeking a Senior Signal Integrity Engineer in Santa Clara, CA. You will join a team that develops high-speed interconnects and provides SI support for new product introductions across telecom, data center, and storage applications.

The role involves SI analysis, PCB/layout recommendations, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure performance from design through qualification. Excellent expertise in SI tools and EM principles is essential.

Qualifications

Requires BS in Electrical Engineering or Physics with hands-on frequency-domain and time-domain characterization methods.
Experience with signal integrity measurements and debugging using TDR, VNA, pattern generators and related equipment.
Understanding of electromagnetic principles and high-speed digital transmission.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with high-speed data transmission SI solutions across multiple sectors.
Identify and resolve PCB/layout SI issues and guide customers on layout decisions.
Design, simulate, characterize and apply high-speed electrical connectors and cable interconnects.
Support internal Sales Engineers to develop product break-in strategies based on SI expertise.
Apply circuit theory and high-speed transmission concepts to PCB design.
Collaborate on multi-disciplinary teams to develop next-gen high-speed backplane interconnect products.
