Job summary

Advantest America is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead SI and PI design for advanced semiconductor test systems. You will work on high-speed data paths, including PCIe, S-parameter modeling, and lab validation, coordinating with hardware, ASIC, SW, and mechanical teams.

You will develop prototypes, perform testing, mentor junior staff, and travel to customer sites as needed, contributing to product excellence across the semiconductor value chain.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering; MS preferred.
• BS + 10 years min or MS + 7 years min.
• Expert in high-speed signal and power integrity at PCB, package and system levels.
• Proficient in high-speed channel simulation tools (ADS, HFSS, CST).
• Experience with S-parameter modeling and SI/PI design for high-performance compute/AI devices.

Responsibilities

• Develop SI and PI designs for semiconductor test systems including PCBA, Load Board, sockets.
• Perform signal integrity and power integrity analysis of entire channels.
• Conduct integration testing, qualifications and prototype evaluations.
• Drive test plans, manage schedules, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams.
• Present designs during reviews and provide guidance to junior staff.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, QA, and support teams to define specifications.
