Job summary

Molex seeks a Senior Si Photonics Design Engineer to join the Optical Solutions Business Unit. You will design, implement and validate photonic components and circuits for next-generation PICs, collaborating with global teams and supplier partners to advance photonic platforms.

Responsibilities include EVT/DVT design, data analysis, and seamless integration with layout, reliability, and packaging teams to deliver reliable PIC solutions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related technical field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in silicon photonics design.
• Experience with photonic and optoelectronic devices and CMOS backend processes.
• Experience with design tools such as Lumerical, COMSOL, FIMMPROP.

Responsibilities

• Design SiPho components and devices using commercial tools for advanced applications such as PAM4 and coherent pluggables.
• Design experiments and analyze test data for EVT/DVT.
• Collaborate with other teams and external foundries to develop novel photonic platforms.
• Collaborate with the global layout team to assist with GDS layouts.
• Work with SI/PI and packaging teams to enable reliable integration of PICs.
